About us
Family owned & managed.
Established in Cafayate Valley in 2006.

the Vineyard

Our story began in 2006 when we acquired 80 hectares of land in the Cafayate Valley, Salta Province, Argentina.
There, we planted different grape varieties, primarily Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tannat, as well as Torrontés and small plots of Cabernet Franc, Bonarda, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Pinot Noir.
The vineyard, located at an altitude of 1700 meters, is planted in a predominantly sandy loam soil of alluvial origin, with a composition of calcareous mica.
At the heart of the vineyard is the Winery.

Cafayate Valley

Viñas en Flor is immersed in a high-altitude landscape, formed by hills that combine colors ranging from amaranth to purple, passing through carmine, cobalt, and green. It is a rugged terrain, formed by deep sand dunes, where the sun bathes the vineyards and roses in golden light. This small valley, with its high-altitude climate, offers exceptional characteristics for the production of our wines.

Winemaking

From the beginning, we set out to understand our terroir: to observe it, let it speak, walk it, and seek in each bottle the most sincere expression possible of this place. When making our wines, we define ourselves in the constant pursuit of harmony: the perfect balance between precision, intensity, and complexity.
“THERE ARE NO MAGIC FORMULAS TO MAKE GREAT WINES. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO TAKE CARE OF THE VINEYARD FROM PRUNING, WORK IT WITH PASSION AND GREAT RESPECT.”
José Luis Mounier, Winemaker.

the Winery

En 2015 inauguramos la Bodega, una industria In 2015, we inaugurated the winery, a modern industry equipped with state-of-the-art technology to produce wines of the highest quality.
During the harvest, we handpick during the early hours of the morning, and in the winery, we select only the best grapes for each wine. This may mean fewer bottles, but it always translates into a higher quality wine.
For vinification, we use stainless steel tanks and cement vessels. Our 1700 Reserva wines are aged for 12 months in French oak barrels of 225 liters, first and second use.
the Roses

When we began cultivating the estate, we planted 1,200 rose bushes at each end of the vineyard. The roses receive the same care in fertilization and irrigation as the vines, and a similar pruning system is applied. Both the vines and the roses require a rest during the winter.
Planted varieties: Jacques Prevert, Marcel Pagnol, Johann Strauss, Tamango, Chorus, Duftzauber 84’, Dr.A.J.Verhage, Cordon Bleu, Summer Lady y The Squire.

Viñas en Flor is a journey, and it is the physical form of our history: the years learning from those who know the most, the experiences we live.
An open journey: because it’s not over yet, and because we have decided to keep walking.
Thank you for accompanying us.
